Non-profit Brand Design | Southeast Diabetes Faith Initiative

A lifestyle transformation is only part of the branding process. We created this award-winning brand on the foundation of transformation—a brand that embodies the essence of what a lifestyle change program can make for one’s life.

Southeast Faith Diabetes Initiative (SDFI) is a multi-state faith-based program that delivers the PreventT2 curriculum, part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This program is proven to work — cutting the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by more than half.

The Balm in Gilead, Inc. approached veJov Design requesting a unique design that would speak to its current customers and at the same time reach a broader audience to communicate what’s available through their SDFI program—create a brand that works.

Create a design that embodies lifestyle transformation. With a beautiful new logo that resonates the progression through the stages of the SDFI program. We also felt that the brand needed an excellent, captivating tagline:
Educate. Transform. Live.

The company’s boilerplate and other messaging are appropriate to communicate the SDFI concisely along with the new design and tagline.

Not only did the SDFI brand surpass the clients’ and customers’ expectations, but it also garnered the coveted NYX Marcom Grand Award for corporate identity and Gold Award for logo design—attained international recognition. With veJov’s partnership, The SDFI ultimately solved their problem and achieved their goals.
